After Tottenham’s Eric Dier escaped a red card for a late and high tackle on David Luiz, Chelsea fans were left upset. The Premier League Champions were much improved during their firdt half at Wembley after last weekend’s surprise defeat to Burnley and was ahead 1-0 to Spurs all thanks to Alonso’s stunning free kick.

Dier

As many felt Dier was fortunate to stay on the pitch only receiving a yellow card for the foul on Blue’s defender although it could have been worse for the hosts. With the attempt to win a 50-50, Dier smashed into both Victor Moses and David Luiz.

For the same incident last week Gary Cahill was a shown a straight red and Chelsea fans were quick to point out the resemblances between the tackles.
