Ronald Koeman says that Everton are close on signing Swansea City midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson. The Iceland midfielder has been linked to Everton all along this summer and found their bid of £40m rejected. Swansea value their midfielder at £50m.

Swansea City boss said nothing has changed, hints that the Iceland midfielder would remain at Everton, however the Everton boss Ronald Koeman said he is optimistic on signing the 27-year-old midfielder. Speaking after a 2-2 draw against Sevilla, Koeman said he is desperate to add three more signings.

“Everybody knows we are looking for three more players – a left centre-back, a left full-back, a player who can play out of both positions, a winger and a striker and that’s the picture, what the best is for our team and we will see what we can do,” Koeman told

Aaron Lenonn was not on the Everton squad to draw Sevilla as he has been rumored on a move to Watford, however Koeman says he is unaware of any interest.

“The reason that he wasn’t in the squad is that he was not fit to play today. I don’t know about any interest for Aaron, I don’t know,” he said.
