Nepal and Jordan are facing each other in final group match of AFC U19 Championship Qualifiers and both have little to offer

Bimal’s hat-trick inspires Nepal to 3-1 win over Bhutan in SAFF U19 opener

When Nepal lost 10-0 to Iran in the inaugural match, few would have thought they would come back to get something out of the second match against Kuwait. But defying all the odds, Nepal came close to register a win in the second match. Skipper Bimal Gharti Magar put Nepal on the lead in the midway of second half but late equaliser from Kuwait dashed Nepalese hopes of getting all three points on board.

Despite the draw, Nepal do have a little hopes of qualifying unlike Jordan who are already out of the qualification. Jordan lost 2-1 to Kuwait in the first match while they went down 3-0 to hosts Iran in the following match. Nepal are eyeing to register a victory with wide margin so that they can have some hopes of qualifying for the final round to be held in Baharain next year.

In case Nepal defeats Jordan, Iran must defeat Kuwait with wide margin as well. If at the end of group matches, Nepal has superior goal difference than Kuwait, they might go through as best runner ups among the groups involved.
