On loan from Tottenham Hotspur, Sunderland could hand Yedlin first team duties in days to come.

DeAndre Yedlin Sunderland

Dick Advocaat and Co are having average season in thr league this term. Jermain Defoe and new signing Jermain Lens are providing results in the final third of the pitch. But the real concern for the team from Wearside is about the qualities in defensive third. With signing of Yann M’Villa the midfield is also boosted as per need. Last time Danny Rose came from Tottenham on loan, he went out of the club receiving player of the year award and had a terrific season. This time, its DeAndre Yedlin who could repeat that feat.

The US International defender has not got any chances to provw his worth in the Sunderland squad. However, the defender played in League Cup tie and was good even though the result was not as well as expected. Yedlin was praised by a lot of fans and said could be used in Premier league very soon.

Yedlin made just one appearance for Spurs in league and with signing of Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker already in squad, Yedlin had to pursue loan move to get some game time to show his game. Now if Advocaat decides to play the defender, much can be expected from the pacy wingback.
