Both teams had couple of new faces in the game, APF introducing five new faces including former U16 team captain Heman Gurung, while Three Star club had star players Ashim Jung Karki and best midfielder of the league Sushil Kc as their marquee signing.

The game started in a slower note, until Three Star club had their first move of the game in 10th minute, Sushil KC setting up a great through ball which APF goalkeeper Amrit Chaudary was in alert position to claim the ball ahead of advancing Ashim Jung Karki.

APF were quick to reply two minutes later when Heman Gurung released terrific long pass, however Jangbo Sherpa was slow to waste an early goal scoring opportunity for APF.

The match had couple of charges until a notable one came as a form of 23 yard shot from Rajendra Rawal in 33rd minute which found the crossbar.

Second half displayed an improved performance from Three Star Club, Amar Dangol made a good effort in 55th minute in a set up from Jagjeet Shrestha, however Amrit Chaudary was in good position to block the shot to deny the goal.

The 69th minute entrance from Ranjan Bista replacing Jangbo Sherpa proved to be match defining one as Ranjan who had couple of bad time including a 70th minute yellow card scored just second ahead of the full time whistle confirming APF’s entrance in the ANFA cup semifinal.
