Sports Minister Purushottom Paudel inspired Nepal U23 and Nepal U16 players in a farewell program organized at Nepal Sports Council.
Dedicating inspiring quotes to players, he said that Nepalese players play for pride and they should play for the nation.
He also talked about Sagar Thapa’s goal that helped Nepal to enter the final round in SAFF Championship 2011. Additionally he also talked about the popularity of the goal that reached every football lover from Nepal.
“The nation is in process of investing in sports, and as far as I have analyzed, Cricket and Football have got the most investment”, Paudel said.
“In context of Nepal, Football is most popular sport in Nepal. Either you play in Korea or Bangladesh, you play anywhere, Nepalese people are always following you. ”, he continued.
Additionally, Paudel also confirmed that Nepal government has been continuously working to build a new stadium and the land will be selected soon within the end of Bhadra.
