AFC President’s Cup: MMC pitted with Hosts Sri Lanka Air Force and FC HTTU

Nepalese League Champion manag Marshyangdi Club will face Sri Lanka Air Force and FC HTTU in AFC President’s Cup final round.

Manag Marshyangdi Club, who advanced to final round of AFC President’s Cup have been pitted with the hosts Sri lanka Air Force, the champions of Sri Lanaka and FC HTTU, the champion of Turkmenistan in Group A.

Sri Lanka Air Force finished second in qualifying stages after holding off last year’s finalists FC KRL from Pakistan. Manang are making their second appearance in the finals after their participation in 2006 edition held in Malaysia.

In group B, Erchim FC of Mongolia and  Rimyongsu FC of North Korea will face highest ranked side Shaikh Russel krira CHakra from Bangladesh. This is the last edition of the tournament as AFC has brought new plans tro scrap this competition. The tournament began in 2005 with Nepal starting the first ever tournament.
