Nepal U16 team departs for South Korea for a training session where they will stay for two weeks.  The team that left Nepal on Monday will play three friendly matches there, one with South Korea U16 side followed by two other youth academy there.

The tour will be first of upcoming series of tours where Nepalese youth side travels Qatar, Belgium and Thailand where they will set final camp before the tournament kicks off in September.

ANFA President Ganesh Thapa is hopeful of the outcome.

“We can achieve everything but all our team lack is morale. These friendly matches will build them up mentally”, he said in a farewell program organized at National Sports Council.

Road to the World Cup

Four semifinalist of 16 participants in AFC U16 championship will book a place in 2015 U17 world cup. Qualifying to the quarter final as a group winners or runner up and winning one quarter final match will confirm Nepal’s participation in FIFA U17 world cup which will be played in Chile.
