AFC President’s cup – MMC through to the Final Round

Laxmi Hyundai Manang Marsynagdi club are into the final round of the AFC President’s cup with a match in their hand as Cambodian side Svay Rieng faced second defeat in a row.

With Erchim registering a 3-1 victory in their home soil, Erchim and MMC both advance to the final round and the final match will decide the group winners of the first round. With their placed booked in the final round, both Erchim and MMC mark their place in the AFC cup 2015 play off.

Placed in a three-team group, MMC had advantage in the first round as two of the three teams would advance to the final round. Starting with a thrashin 6-3 victory in the first game, MMC strengthen their chances to advance to the final and Erchin’s victory against Svay Rieng confirmed Cambodian side’s knock off of the tournament.

An own goal from Sothearoth gave the home side lead which was equilized five minutes later in 15th minute by Mony Udom, however Gal-Erdene scored twice to confirm Erchim’s victory.

MMC defeated Svay Rieng 6-3 earlier where Dipak Rai scored twice while Sulav Maskey, Nirajan Malla and Aziz scored a goal each with an advantage of one own goal.

MMC will take on Erchim on May 5 in the last match of the group which decided the group winner.
