Suspension and Injury Report – Real Madrid Players Who Will miss CL Final

After the 5-0 win over title holders Bayern Munich on aggregate, Real Madrid booked the ticket for Lisbon, here is a list of injuries and suspension for the finalist.

Real Madrid were not able to defeat Bayern Munich since last  matches, however they dominated the second leg to capture 5-0 victory on aggregate to book their ticket to the final. In the dark side, Real Madrid will have to travel Lisbon without some of their players in the final clash which will be played either between Atletico Madrid or Chelsea.

Real Madrid holding midfielder Xabi Alonso will miss the Champions League final because of accumulated yellow cards. 32 years old Xabi was booked a yellow card in the semifinal clash against Bayern Munich after the bad tackle against Frank Ribery in the first half which will be the reason for suspension from the final clash. Meanwhile the 32 years old Spainard has criticized UEFA for such rule as he believes three red card in 13 matches is harsh on players.

Nine time champions Real Madrid will miss defender Alvaro Arbeloa due to the knee injury. He will be out of the  ground until the end of the June 14, meanwhile, Jese is also suffering from the ligament injury which does not let Ancelotti to select the youngster for final. In the same time, Midfielder Sami Khedira is also not available for the finals of UEFA Champions League.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who wrote his name in the book of highest scorer after scoring 16 goals in the one tournament was also not fully recovered in the first leg semi-final against Bayern Munich,  however he has proved already that he is fit to play in the final.

Real Madrid will take on the winner between Chelsea and Atlético Madrid in the final of Champions League on May 24 which will be played in Lisbon.
