NMB Bank Machhindra enter the semifinals of the Aaha Rara gold cup for the first time in their history as they defeat Simrik Saraswati Youth Club 3-1 in the quarter final of 12th Aaha Rara gold cup.

Bishal Rai, ZAZA and Dilen netted one apiece for Machhindra while Jagjeet Shrestha scored consolation goal for Saraswoti Youth Club.

Machhindra FC in its third participating in the tournament remained puny in the starting minutes of the game as a result they conceded a goal in 24th minute, courtesy of Jagjeet Shrestha’s 25 yards long free kick that kissed the net.

Machhindra were gifted with a comeback as Simrik Saraswati Youth Club goalkeeper Ashok Baral failed to grab an easy free kick from Pius, Bishal Rai was in good position to tap the ball easy for equalizer.

ZAZA’s stunning long range from 30 yards took Machhindra FC ahead in the game, the lead was doubled in 73rd minute when Uttam Gurung’s free kick was followed by a headed touch from Dilen to double the lead as the final score remained 3-1.
