AAHA RARA Gold Cup – Simrik Saraswati Defeat FRGR

Simrik Saraswati Youth Club defeat FRGR 5-2 to enter the quarter final of the 12th Aaha Rara gold cup held at Pokhara.

Although it was the start the travelling team from Brunei wanted, they got two early goals in first 10 minutes of the game with Basant Gurung and Santosh Shrestha getting their name in the score line, however they conceded five back later in the game to go 5-2 down to Simrik Saraswati Youth Club that fielded three Three Star club players Jagjeet Shrestha, Sabindra Shrestha and Bijay Gurung.

Bonny halved the deficit for Saraswati while Pius made it all square in 22nd minute before he added a lead to end the half 3-2 for Saraswati Youth Club.

Dipesh Shrestha and Tanku Lama scored a piece in the second half to make the final score 5-2 as Simrik Saraswati Youth Club entered the quarter final and will face NMB Bank Machhindra in the next round.
