Boys Union Club faces 9-0 humiliating defeat to Nepal Police Club as Bhola Silwal scores hat trick for the departmental team.
Bhola Silwal also becomes the first Nepalese player to score a hat trick in the league while Bharat Shah and Dipen Shrestha scored twice in NPC’s 9-0 victory.
The team did not feel their star man Jumanu Rai’s absence as Nepal Police club was in no lack of goals. The first goal in the game came from Dipen Shrestha who scored his first goal since his return from the injury as the Police club number 8 chipped the ball over opponent goalkeeper to find the lead in 8th minute.
Bharat Shah doubled the lead in 27th minute when he tapped a ball that was delivered from Bhola Silwal. NPC could make it 4-0 before the end of the first half as Bhola Silwal and Ganesh Khadka scored respectively for the cops.
The second half started early with a goal when Bharat Shah collected a ball from Ajit Bhandrai before he placed it beautifully for a goal. The goals galore continued for NPC when Dipen Shrestha utilized a misunderstanding between Boys Union defenders.
Ajit Bahndari, the Nepal Police Club full back registered a goal in his name to make it 7-0 in 68th minute before Bhola Silwal scored two goals, last one coming from a 20 yards free kick to complete his hat trick.
