NIBL Friends club evidenced a tragic 2-0 loss in Lalitpur derby match played at Dasarath Rangashala and they claim that the referee’s decision did not go their way even in when they made no mistakes.

NIBL Friends club conceded two second half goals and scored none which made their super six hope more difficult.

It was Three Star Club that remained the dominant side in the game, with early first half attack coming from the defending champions in 6th minute when Santosh Sahukhala’s weak attempt in Nirajan Khadka’s ball was easily collected by opponent goalkeeper Ajit Prajapati.

Three Star continued their attack, however they were not able to make any impressive moves in the opponent’s post which ended the first half goalless.

The second half remained controversial and it carried all the hotness of the game. The first impression in the second half came in 51st minute from Three Star when Dodoz first collected the ball from Santosh, took it couple of yards ahead and made a shot, his shot was saved by Friends club’s reliable man Peter Segun.

Three Star Club got ahead in a great display from Dodoz who made impressive pass to Mumbara as the Three Star club man made his first goal for A division league in Nepal since his return from great spell couple of seasons back.

Three Star club could double their lead when Santosh Sahukhala scored in 85th minute for the winning side which he placed in a corner kick delivered from Jagajeet Shrestha.

The last minute of the game remained controversial and heated when apparently Kiran brough down Peter Segun, NIBL Friends’ club penalty appeal was denied while Peter Segun was booked for diving instead.

Friends’ club official looked furious which caused a tensed moment in the field after the final whistle. NIBL Friends club current coach and former Three Star head man Meghraj KC complained about the poor decision of referees and said that the club will hand a protest letter to ANFA.
