Machhindra defeat Boys Union 3-1 as the newly promoted side continue struggling in the league with just a single victory.

NMB Bank Machhindra FC did well to create pressure in the early minute of the game when a ball from Bishal Rai found Karna Limbu in the opponent box, however his shot was deflected passed Ravi Silwal to deny an early threat for Boys Union.

The second attempt from Machhindra came two minutes later in 15th minute when Ajay BK pushed a through ball to Karna Limbu whose shot went inches close to the target. The team that created some pressures to the opponents got a goal as their new player Essamba managed to find the net from the edge of the box as his left footed shot found the corner of the frame.

Machhindra doubled the tally when Bishal Rai utilized Raju Yogi’s off position who was advancing forward to stop Bishal. Bishal launched a flicked shot over Raju Yogi that got converted to double the lead for Machhindra.

The second half started with Boys Union getting two goals down, the deficit could halve when they were awarded a penalty shot for as Devendra Tamang’s tackle on Ashim Jung Karki was penalized. Ashim converted the penalty to make it 2-1 for Boys Union in 50th minute.

Boys Union were unlucky to find their attack denied by the cross bar. Akeem’s first shot was half cleared by the defender and the rebound ball fell to Kamal Shrestha whose shot in the 59th minute was denied by the cross bar.

Aboubacar Bangoura sealead the victory for Machhindra making a long ranger in Sushil Kc’s set up as his 69th minute goal remained the last goal of the game sealing a 3-1 victory for Machhindra FC.
