TSC 0-1 Sankata – Afeez Scores to downcast Three Star

Laxmi Bank Three Star suffers second defeat in the league as they go down 1-0 to CMG Club Sankata, the sole goal coming from Afeez.

The first attack came in 5^th minute from Three Star Club when Jagjeet Shrestha did well to run a ball from the center to deliver it to Santosh Sahukhala , whose shot just from outside the box well was saved by Sankata’s custodian Pierre.

The 17^th minute display from Dodoz was well enough to dribble past three defenders and his final shot from 20 yards goes inches over the target.

Jaggeet Shrestha’s free kick in 29^th minute remained ambitious for stars as the delivery from edge of the box was denied by the cross bar.

Stars dominated the first half, however they were not able to convert chances to let the first half end scoreless.

Despite of first half dominance in attack, Three Star were stunned in 58^th minute after Afeez placed the ball over Kiran Chemjong to take Sankata ahead in the match. He did well to flick the ball coming from the center in first touch as Sankata’s first shot on target was first goal of the match.

Stars were compelled trial at the end of the match as a header from Prakash Budathoki found the inner side of the cross bar before it was off the goal line. They could not chase back the score line missing in several second half opportunities as Sankata could find all available points of the match.
