APF could sideline mountaineers despite of being one man down as they register hard fought victory.
Himalayan Sherpa started early attack as Segun utilized a defensive flaw early in 12th minute of the game. His headed effort to utilize a flaw from Top Bista found the cross bar to deny early goal for Yeti Himalayan Sherpa club.
APF made some long rangers in early period with a notable one coming in 17th minute from Striker Ranjan Bista whose 25 yards shot which goes only inches above the cross bar.
Himalayan Sherpa came close to the lead in 38th minute on a counter attack, however Subash Gurung’s effort found the cross bar before the ball went out for the goal kick as the first half ended goal less.
The second half remained competitive with all goals coming in the later half. The departmental side came ahead with a superb strike from Nabin Lama in 58th minute which came on a shot from the right edge of the box.
APF doubled two minutes later when Ranjan Bista found another goal. Shyam Nepali’s first shot was half cleared by the goalkeeper; Ranjan Bista found the rebound to make an easy placement to double APF’s lead.
APF could halve the difference with a free kick delivered in from Heman Gurung. His delivery found slightest of the touch from Pasang Lama before entering the net in 76th minute of the game.
APF were down to 10 men in the 80th minute when Subash Gurung was brought down by Sudeep Sikhrakar.
The 10 men APF could enjoy full three points after a terrific save coming in the 90th minute from Amrit Chaudary who did well to save a headed effort from Segun that came in from Heman Gurung’s.
