Friends 3-0 RCT – Sri Nath RCT face First Defeat

Segun Peter and Susan Lama found two long rangers inside the net while Victor scores in final minute to seal a 3-0 victory for NIBL Friends.

RCT face first defeat in the league after a draw with Saraswati and winning against Nepal Police Club as they underperform against NIBL Friends Club.

The game started with an early attempt from NILB friends club when Captain Santosh Tamang made a shot just from edge of the box. His shot was well on target and denied by a great effort from RCT goalkeeper Prem Tamang who dived to his left to make a save. Ajayi Martins got a rebound to the deflected ball but his shot was directed to the keeper.

NIBL Friends club went close to another goal scoring opportunity when a long cross coming from Anil Ojha found Bishnu KC who did well to beat the offside track but failed to connect the ball to the opponent net from as close as 5 yards missing a chance for Friends Club.

RCT created a momentum in 34^th minute in a counter move but Suman Lama failed to find Amar Dangol after a great run, missing out a chance for RCT.

RCT escaped another thriller in 36^th minute when Anil Ojha’s cross from the left was misjudged by Prem Tamang who could not grab the cross, however the ball landed on a no man’s land which gave Prem ample of time to rectify his mistake with a clearance.

Peter Segun notched a goal from 40 yards when he got a corner ball cleared in 38^th minute. He fired in a shot to set his team in motion in 38^th minute as the ball passed over Prem Tamang for NIBl Friend’s first goal.

The half ended 1-0 for Friends as Prem Tamang was in good position to block Ajayi Martins in one v one position just before the first half whistle denying last attempt from NIBL Friends in the first half.

Friends club could double their lead in the second half which came in a blunder from goalkeeper Prem Tamang. Tamang failed to grip a ball which was directly on his hand from a 35 yards shot from former Boudha defender Susan Lama in 56^th minute.

Friends continued their attack as they were near to their third goal in 66^th minute. A shot from Lawal Olalenkan from the box got deflected in RCT defender, Prem Tamang with the rescue in last minute to clear the ball.

Ozoani Victor who was substituted in the dying minutes of the second half utilized a ball from Buddha Lama in 90^th minute to stamp a 3-0 victory for NIBL Friends Club.
