Former NRT man Segun scored twice, both in counter attack to take YHSC ahead. Sulav Maskey pulled one back for MMC, however the goal was not just enough for MMC who were already 2-0 down.

The first half started with an early hazard from Sulav Maskey who could steal the possession from Himalayan Sherpa captain Man Bahadur on his own box and his cross went close to Deepak Rai who could not reach for a touch which could have got MMC an early goal in 3rd minute of the match.
MMC continued their attack with another one coming in 10th minute in an ambitious free kick from Sujal Shrestha that went above the bar. The attack continued when MMC’s new recruit Yusuf made a cross from left side, advancing Sulav Maskey could just not get a header as Binaya got first to the ball punching the ball away from the danger.
The 14th minute attack from MMC could have got them ahead, sorry for MMC that Yusuf could not connect a volley well on Sagar’s ball from the right.
MMC who made continuous attacks got behind in 20th minute on a counter move. Former NRT striker Segun fired a shot from 25 yards to test Bishal Shrestha who was off position. Sherpa got their first shot in the game in for the goal to take the lead despite of continuous MMC attacks.
Yona who replaced Yusuf in the 31st minute almost got his first shot converted; however a cross from Sujal from the right side got a left footed touch from Yona that move hight above the target.
MMC’s continuous effort were all failing as Sagar Thapa’s shot in the 38th minute followed by an additional time free kick from Sujal both could not yield result for MMC. Sagar Thapa’s shot went over the bar while Sujal Free kick was headed wide by Shiva Shrestha.
MMC trailing back at the end of the first half started second half with attacks. Sujal found him unlucky to hit the woodwork in a 56th minute , Bishal Rai got the rebound from the bar; however his headed effort was off for a goal kick.
Yeti Himalayan Sherpa Club goalkeeper Binaya Shrestha displayed back to back heroic performances to deny Sagar Thapa and Stephen Mbile in 59th minute. He did well to deny Sagar Thapa’s terrific long ranger and then Mbile’s shot from five yards to hold on the lead for Sherpa.
The leading team counter-attacked on a clinical fashion to double their lead as Segun scored second time just from outside the box in 65th minute.
MMC made some effort to come back in the game with former Machhindra players Deepak Rai and Bishal Rai making some move to rescue MMC. Deepak Rai found Bishal Rai inside the box but Bishal’s shot from the box was directed to Binaya’s hand that made no mistake to get the ball to safety.
Yeti Himalayan Sherpa launched another counter attack with Heman finding Segun unmarked in the opponent box, but Segun failed to give a touch to a ball as he missed on a shot which could have got him a hat trick.
MMC’s other effort came in 77th minute when Sulav Maskey’s cross was headed by Yona whose shot was saved by a defender before Binaya pulled the ball for Safety.
MMC pulled back one after series of attack in the 88th minute when Sagar Thapa’s cross was headed home by Sulav Maskey to halve the deficit, however the goal was not just enough for MMC who ran out of the time despite they continued their attack.
