The defending champions go down to Jawalakhel Youth Club as they concede two bitter goals in the second half of the game. Jawalakhel add a first win and a first clean sheet in their name after a opening defeat to Army club.
Three Stars got got an early goal in the fourth minute, however the goal was illegitimate in the eye of the linesman who denied the goal. The defending champions did well to continue their attack with the second one coming in 8th minute when Prakash Budathoki’s cross in Sabindra’s header was blocked by Bikesh Kuthu.

A move came back from Three Star Club when Santosh’s pass to Jagjeet was followed by a weak shot that did not trouble the opponent keeper. The last minute of the first half was memorable for Jawalakhel as Pradip Maharjan’s shot from 30 yards found the cross bar and the half ended goalless.
Jawalakhel got the first goal in the game in 58th minute when their counter move was followed by a clinical finish when Subash Gurung scored on a counter ball that was delivered from Razz Paudel.
Jawalakhel could have doubled the lead in 65th minute when they initiated a quick counter attack from a free kick from Jagajeet Shrestha. They managed to get themselves in advantage position of 3 vs two players but Sushil Shah failed to get his unmarked partner to let go another good chance for Jawalakhel.
Santosh Sahukhal missed couple of chances in first half but made a good effort for a comeback in 70th minute but his shot was just off the target from the near post. Three Star made back to back moves but failed to get the equalizer instead Jawalakhel’s Ram Thapa scored from a long range to stun Kiran Chemjong who was unmoved.
Former Manange Ram Thapa released a shot on target from 25 yards which goalkeeper Kiran could not judge as the goal sealed the victory for Jawalakhel Youth Club.
