Nepal Police Club registers a narrow victory over Yeti Himalayan Sherpa Club as Bhola Silwal strikes the sole goal in the second half of the match.
Nepal Police club starts its journey in the Red Bull Martyr’s Memorial A division league with a win as Bhola Silwal scored in the 59th minute of the game, the goal was enough for Police to collect three points in their first match.
The match remained somehow even in the early minute, the first attack came from Nepal Police Club in 5th minute when Dinesh Gurung’s shot just from outside the box was punched away from Binaya Shrestha. Nepal Police club stabbed another a minute later when Jumanu’s attempt was grabbed with an ease by Binaya.
The majority of first half attack came from Nepal Police club while Yeti Himalayan Sherpa club remained much possessive in midfield failing to pass out the disciplined Nepal Police club defense. Rabin Shrestha’s long ranger was tipped away by Binaya , Jumanu getting the rebound but Jumanu’s shot from inside box was saved by another fine effort from Binaya. The first half remained quite from both the teams in other occasions making the score 0-0 at the end of an initial half.
Nepal Police club grabbed the lead in 59th minute with Bhola scoring the brace for NPC. Rabin Shrestha’s effort from left side of the ground was followed by a delivery which Suman Subedi found a touch before Bhola sent the ball into the net scoring the only goal in the game.
Himalayan Sherpa could manage only three shots on target one of which included a 75th minute free kick from former Nepal U16 captain Heman Gurung whose kick was grabbed by Ritesh making a final score 1-0 at the end of the game.
