Tribhuwan Army club started the attack in the game dominating early period of the first half, however Samsung Jawalakhel Youth Club managed to get back the tempo in the later half making it all square in possession.
The first notable effort from Army came in 14th minute when Tanka Basnet’s fine effort from the flank was followed by a volley from Nawyug’s Shrestha’s volley that went wide from the target. Tanka Basnet’s long ranger three minutes later was punched away by Bikesh Kuthu as the flight almost found the target, Nawyug was active on rebound but failed to head the ball before Bikesh grabbed the ball to safety.
Samsung Jawalakhel Youth Club came near to an equalizer when former Madhyapurian man Jeevan Sinkeman made an effort that went close to the far post before he collided with opponent keeper Ganga Ram Deuja.
The 40th minute sub Bharat Khawas who replaced Naresh Meche took his team forward in the second half as he managed to flick the ball over Bikesh Kuthu ijn a tangled situation, Kuthu could just see the ball pass over him to enter the net for Army’s lead in 53rd minute.
Tanka Basnent made a long ranger in 64th minute from a difficult angle but was unlucky as his shot found the bar. Bikesh Kuthu was all unmoved but was lucky not to concede a goal.
The goal moved Jawalakhelmen forward on attack which invited Tribhuwan Army to score another. They continued attacking and got another goal as Nawyug Shrestha placed over Bikesh Kuthu to double the lead through a clinical finish.
Tanka Basnet was unlucky for the second time in the game as his another powerful long ranger from the edge of the box found the cross bar this time denying the goal.
Khawas made it 3-0 before the full time as he utilize Bikesh Kuthu’s blunder to place the ball for a goal. Bikesh Kuthu could not collect an easy ball coming from the left from Padam Tamang, Khawas found the ball and scored the easiest one he would have ever got.
