Simrik Saraswoti Youth Club had good start in the game, they displayed some fine moves early in the game as three foreign recruits helped well to balance the team, however Boys Union had the first say in the game as Ashim Jung Karki continued his fine form and set his team in motion through a 3o yards free kick.

The equalizer came in second half when Krishna Gopal Shrestha managed to collect a ball from Kisambale through a free kick and placed it in the left side of the post, however Rakesh Lama took his team forward as Boys Union took the lead for the second time in the game.

Saraswati Youth Club had great chance to equalize; a shot from Shadrack was saved on a goal line by Raj Krishna Prajapati. The other chance was gone in vain as a cross from Raj Shahi could just not find Bomey who dived forward in search of a touch which could have got them the equalizer.

Kiran Rai ended it in style as he confirmed BYC’s victory through a shot from just inside the box. With the victory, BYC are into the quarter finals, match commissioner Sanjeev mishra confirms.

Simrik Saraswati will now play Laxmi Hyndai  Manang Marsyangdi club in the last match of group stage, while Boys Union now has three points with two games.
