One goal in either half from Himalayan Sherpa knocks off Yeti FC from third Safal Pokhara cup.
The game started in slower note as both the teams looked cautious from the beginning and first attack came only in 13th minute from Yeti Himalayan Sherpa’s Segun whose powerful shot went just above the bar.
The visiting side could already find them under pressure as Himalayan Sherpa kept the possession and as a result they got ahead through Dhiraj Tamang’s goal which came in 24th minute from Pukar Ghataraj’s assist.
The visiting side could have easily got back into the game, had Binam Hona utilized the one vs. one chance; however the effort was blocked by opponent keeper.
The second half started with Yeti Fc’s missed opportunity as Binam Hona found a rebound on Bijay Karki’s effort but his ambitious shot went off the target to disappoint the Australian side.
Segun could do well to extend the lead as he scored on Dhiraj Tamang’s pass in 58th minute and the game slipped away from Yeti FC who suffered 2-0 defeat to get knocked off the tournament.
Dhiraj Tamang of Yeti Himalayan Sherpa club was announced the man of the match.
