Afghanistan  survived host Nepal 1-0 in Semi Final and will now meet defending champion India which promises to be exhilarating final to be played at Dasarath Rangashala, Kathmandu.

India  entered the final of the tournament with 1-0 victory over Maldives in the second semi final match of  SAFF Championship 2013 . Meanwhile Afghanistan  sidelined Nepal 1-0 in first semifinal played at Dasarath Rangashala in front of 22,000 approx home fans to proceed to the finals of the tournament.

Afghanistan remained second in the previous edition of SAFF Championship played at India. Afghanistan were stopped by India  4-0 in the final of SAFF Championship 2011. Both India and Afghanistan made their way to the semifinals of the tournament as group runner-ups.

India will be looking for the defend  the tournament title while Afghanistan  keep faith not to repeat the same thing that happened two years ago at Delhi in last edition’s final.

Afghanistan Matches : Bhutan ( 3-0 win ), Sri-Lanka ( 3-1 win ), Maldives ( 0-0 draw ), Nepal ( 2-0 win ) .

India Matches : Pakistan ( 1-0 win ), Bangladesh (1-1 draw ), Nepal  (2-1 loss ) .
