The Nepalese people have already felt the congestion in Dasarath Rangashala as more fans can’t cut it within the 18000 available seats in Dasarath Rangashala. In the same time, Nepal government plans to build new stadium with almost three times the capacity of Dasarath Rangashala and now needs final approval.

The youth and Sports ministry secretary Hari Nepal confirms government’s plan to fabricate new Football stadium worth 40 thousand seats. The construction process will start soon this year after confirmation on location among the shortlisted ones.

“We will decide the locations in few weeks and start the construction process soon as possible” , Hari Nepal told as quoted in Setopati.

The team leaded by Sports and Youth ministry vice secretary Baikuntha Kafle has already referred 500 ropanies of land in Kathmandu and Lalitpur.

The team has first prioritized 5 hundred and 35 ropanies of land in Gothathar VDC ward number 3 in Kathmandu district while Gokarna has been second in the list. Chobar remains third priority, meanwhile forth priority has been given to 1 thousand ropanies of land in Sundharighat in Lalitpur sub-metropolitan city.

” Nepal government has already given 5 crores of budget and it will be sufficient if we get the desired area “, he said.
