Laxmi Bank Three Star club defeats MC Dowell’s RCT and enter knock out round of the tournament one games earlier before they play APF in final group stage match.
Three Star club got early lead in the game as Prakash Budathoki fired Three Star lead in opening six minutes of the game. He scored from tight angle to confirm the lead for Lalitpur based club.
Amar Dangol could have replied positively six minutes later but he failed to capitalize good chance for RCT. RCT replied in 20th minute of the game as they found the equalizer in Dikesh Khadki’s ball which Suman Lama placed on the net.
Three Star got ahead again for the second time in the game in 24th minute as Santosh Sahukhala scored in 24th minute capitalizing fine Nirajan Khadka cross.
Biraj Maharjan doubled the lead with long ranger as Three Star ended first half with two goals lead.
Jagjeet Shrestha scored in 51st minute of the game with his solo effort on the net as Three star built the lead dominating the attack.
RCT lost their hope to comeback after great combination between Suman Lama and Amar Dangol but Dangol’s final attack found outer side of the net.
Sahukhala missed Three Star penalty after Dodoz was fouled by Krishna Kunwar. Sahukhala’s effort deflected through the cross bar and his headed goal was called offside.
Dodoz displayed clinical finish after his left footed finest shot led Dilip Chhetri no chance to get near to the ball as Three Star stood high with 4 goals lead.
RCT tried to get their pride back but Suman Lama’s shot beats the keeper and beats the goal in 76 minutes.
