Aaha Rara Gold cup: Jawalakhel Defeats Dharan on Penalties

Jawalakhel Youth Club decides its fate on a tie-breaker as they surpass Dharan FC to enter the quarterfinals.

Jawalakhel Youth club enters the quarterfinal of 11th Aaha-Rara gold cup played at Pokhara city. The match was headed into tiebreaker as no team could define their fate in regulation and extra time played at Pokhara Stadium.

Dharan FC had quite few chances in the game as they pressed for goal scoring chances in the regulation time. The fate could have turned in their way had they converted the spot kick in first half. Bibek Gurung took charge of the shot which he directed in the wood bar.

Krishna shakya, Rabin Byajankar, Sankog chamling and Sushil Shah converted the tiebreaker for the winning team while Subarna Limbu and Kiran Rai did the job for Dharan FC which was not enough for the team to proceed to the quarters.
