SYC 4-3 RCT : Yona Elias Bags Decisive Hat trick on Saraswoti Win

Yona Elias scores hat trick to pull interesting match on Saraswoti’s favor as Saraswoti strengthen their place in super 8.

Yona Elias’ form continue sparkling as he finds hat-trick for the second time in the league followed by his double hat-trick against Machhindra.

Saraswoti Youth club shared a dominating first half as they got ahead early in the first half. Rajendra Tamang’s long range found the net as he scored just away from the box. This was Rajendra’s first goal of the league which got Saraswoti ahead in the game.

Saraswoti took no time to double their lead when Yona Elias dribble passed few defenders to double the tally just three minutes after the first goal. Saraswoti who should have been trailing by one goal in the 7th minute leaded by 2 goals in 21 minute as Amar Dangol could not utilize early chance when he was left unmarked at Saraswoti’s box.

Saraswoti looked aggressive despite of their two goals lead as they searched for another. However next goal of the game came on RCT’s way as fine run from Yugol Kishor Rai added value to trailing team. Yugol’s cross got deflected to SYC skipper Michale forcing the ball to cross the line.

Yona Elias was able to score his 15th goal of the league as he could head Usman’s ball directly into the net. The blame could completely be on defensive part who left approaching Yona unmarked. Usman’s run from left flank could catch up Elias who made fine header to get Saraswoti 3-1 up.

The game turned more interesting as RCT did not give up. They closed the deficit as Pradip Malla scored to keep his team alive in the fight. Bhim Darlami followed Pradip as he leveled the scoreline.

Yona Elias completes his hat trick with confidence placement which just differentiated two teams. His third goal not only completed his hat trick but also acted as the winner.

With this win Saraswoti won Three star club, Machhindra and RCT who are considered as title contenders this season.

Saraswoti moves to sixth spot with the win as they make their path clearer challenging Nepal Police club for the super 8 spot.
