Madhyapur Coach Upendra Man Singh was not happy with his players’ performance after their fifth loss of the campaign.
Madhyapur coach Singh, who led the team to a successful NCell Cup campaign a couple of months ago is now struggling with the team in the league. He admitted that the performance in the NCell Cup was very good and did not add up players into the squad thinking they can adjust with the team to stay in the league which also will help in exposure to players from the locality. He cleared us that this is not due to player fatigue as they have one of the best training schedule in the league. ‘ We have been training since last 4 months. We even conducted training in Dashain-Tihar gap so there is no question of Player fatigue’, he said.
‘The team started well but we could not continue the same performance and conceded the goal. The management is now frustrated and have done the best we can. We have fulfilled everything the players have asked for and the fans are unhappy with us now. Now its all upto our players to make the fans happy and keep us up in the highest division.’, he added.
‘The quality of players we have in the squad is low but this is good enough to keep us up, they are not playing as they can and it is costing us match after match. The foreign players we brought in were on trial for other clubs and they cam to us once they were rejected from others.’, he said. He was hopeful that the players will be up for the upcoming matches and will do everything they can to keep the club in A division.
Madhyapur have played 10 matches and have just registered one win and drawn four matches. They are on 14th position with 7 points and 3 points off safety.
