APF plays draw with Three Star to Enter Quarterfinal

Armed Police Force (APF) has progressed to  quarterfinal of Ncell cup playing 1-1 draw with Three Star club in their last match of the league stage. APF looked terrific from the beginning of the match and finally managed to add a goal in the tally in 10th minute. Unmarked Ganesh Lawati placed the ball  beautifully  inside goalpost from D-box as Kiran Chemzong couldn’t save  the shot from Santosh Shrestha well. Three star club looked dull in first half as they lacked  passion and Desire to win the match. First half ended 1-0 as Both team failed to utilize the few chances..

In second half  Three star looked charged and played attacking  game,  as a result they leveled the score at 84th minute with the powerful shot from Bijay Gurung from outside off D-box. APF also created some scoring chances but failed to guide the ball inside the post.

Three star club was playing for pride as they were already edged out of the tournament in  Head to Head basis. After this draw Friends club also missed the place in quarterfinal as result favored APF and entered the second stage in head to head basis. Another team from this group Madhyapur Youth Association has already entered quarterfinal with clear 5 points in the table.
