Dodoz Ensures Happy Ending on Friends Club League Tourney

NIBL Friends were able to grab win on a frustrating match as they found three of their shots denied by the bar while several of easy chances were not capitalized by Friends Club.

The Frustration in the first half ended with a penalty as Jagjeet’s shot found the top corner to add the lead Friends club deserved earlier.

NIBL Friends’ luck hard time began right on the sixth minute after Prakash Budathoki was unable to utilize Dodoz’s cross from the left flank. Dodoz’s great run and delivery was withheld as Prakash Budathoki’s first touch on the ball went over the bar.

Friends club continued their attack without any clue how much they would have to bear throughout the match. Their second miss came from Dodoz who remained outstanding in other circumstances in the match. Segun Peter advanced forward from his defensive area to opponent’s pigeonhole and made a cross to Dodoz who failed to score.

Friend club added more attack but they failed to score as Dodoz’s head was well caught by Dilip Chhetri who dived at his right to deny the goal.

The unlucky run continued for Friends as Prakash Budathoki’s long shot stroke the cross bar in 30^th minute. Meanwhile Dodoz made an attack from tight attack which Dilip Chhetri denied with confidence to stop another goal scoring chance for Friends club.

Second half saw more frustration as Jagjeet Shrestha missed the easiest chance he would have ever got. Dodoz headed the ball on Jagjeet’s head that missed to find the target from couple of yards from the goal as his head went inches away from the far post.

Another miss came from Deepak Gurung who poorly timed volley and failed to connect Jagjeet’s cross.

RCT were helpless as they were busy stopping NIBL Friend’s attack. They found themselves lucky until they conceded a croner which Jagjeet fired on the right corner to pour down his frustration in 60^th minute of the game.

The goal somehow dropped down frustration among Friends club palyer but never outdated them all as they came through another miss in 74 minutes. Dodoz deliver a short pass to Prakash Budathoki who failed to connect the ball. Santosh Tamang found the final shot but his shot went inches wide off target.

Few minutes later, Kuber Singh made an attempt on an open position as he was left unmarked in RCT box. His shot found the crossbar instead of net as Friends club faced similar situation for the third time in the game.

Dodoz managed to end up the drama in happy note as his great run in second minute of injury time was followed by a clinical finish to double the lead for Friends club before referee Laba Khattri blew the final whistle.
