Carragher said: “This will be my last season at Liverpool and my last as a professional footballer.

“It has been a privilege and an honor to represent this great club for as long as I have and I am immensely proud to have done so and thankful for all the support I have had.”
Carragher joined Liverpool youth system at the age of 9 while he made his first team debut at January 1997 against Middlesbrough. Carra has already enjoyed more than 700 first team appearances before he announced his retirement at the age of 35.
