Friends registered a comfortable 2-0 win over already relegated Bansbari, Dodoz and Cheikh Oumar scored for NIBL Friends in second period to strengthen Kupondole based side’s place in Super League.
In the first half, Friends dominated most of the game but failed in finishing. Jagjit missed an early chance to score and Oumar, Dodoz, Santosh and Dipak also missed brilliant chances to take Friends on the lead. Friends played from wings and attacked through centre as well but could not break spirited Bansbari defense who were without regular Goalie Ajit in lineup. The best chance that Bansbari got was getting possession off Peter in centre and getting into 3v1 with Sagar Thapa but the Skipper’s brilliant offside trap did not let Banbsari any hopes of stunning the kupondole based side.
The first half went goal-less but we Friends were on high after attacking plays being created in recent times.
The second half was same as first but Friends capitalized the mistak by Bansbari defence and Dodoz headed in Prakash Budhathoki’s cross to ensure a healthy lead for Friends. The game was now easy as Friends just had to keep the ball and play and their joy doubled when Oumar scored the winner in 75th minute. Bansbari never really threatened to attack the Friends’ area and were goalless in penultimate game of this A division league for already relegated side.
