RCT vs Manang

Amar Dangol scored twice within the starting 11 minutes of the game to give RCT strong lead in the first half of currently ongoing Sahid Smarak A Division League at Dashrath rangashala. Second half strike from Nirajan Malla saw some chance on the game whileinspiring performance from Prem made RCT’s day.

First half started on a tragic way for RCT as Amar Dangol found two quick counter balls on to the net, one of which came in 8th minute of the game which second was beautiful chip just 3 minutes later. Amar placed the first goal into the corner from a low cross and chips over the goalie for the second. The goals not only added lead on RCT side but also motivated the team who were following hard knocks of Afeez’s one year suspension. MMC could not make any serious threat to their opponents which kept them trailing till the end of first half.

RCT were without Dilip Chhetri as Prem Lama who displayed brilliant performance today replaced their interim captain Dilip Chhetri in the squad after Sulabh made comeback in the team sometime ahead.

Second half started with MMC’s desperateness to find the goal and then the equalizer. Nirajan Malla got a good chance to reduce the lead in 53′ of the game but he was not able to maintain the possession. Later Prem Tamang made two fine saves one off Anil’s another coming from Nirajan’s brilliant overhead kick to keep their feet in their ground and save the lead within 4 minutes difference.

Nirajan Malla scored in 6oth minute as Manang managed to diminish the deficit but the goal was just insufficient to compensate two Dangol goals which left Manang sort of a goal loosing three important points.

The loss also hardens Manang’s Title hope as they are now 4 points short of three contenders Three Star, Macchindra and RCT.
