Manchester United midfielder been named Manchester United’s player of the year for 2016/17. The 27 year old midfielder topped the poll ahead of Antonio Valencia who ended in second place.
“It is very special for me to win this award because when you see the list of the winners you see how important it is,” Herrera told MUTV.
“Of course also I stopped the record of David [de Gea] and the trophy stays in Spain as well.”
Henrikh Mkhitaryan took the goal of the season award for his outstanding backheel volley against Sunderland at home back in December.
Axel Tuanzebe, who made his Premier League debut against Arsenal earlier this month picked up the reserve player of the year award.
