Barcelona believe Neymar’s ban went on to be excessive to the Spanish giants and they want the situation resolved before they take on Real Madrid on Sunday.
The Brazilian should have served one match regular ban for being sent off against Malaga, however his Sarcasm by applauding on referee costed him further two matches ban. Neymar has already served one ban and the club believes the punishment is too much for their key man.
Barca had their appeal denied by Spanish football federation and they await decisions from Spain’s Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAD) expecting it on their favor.
The club requests the TAD issue a resolution,” Barca said in a statement on Saturday.
“It is not true that FC Barcelona has asked for an opinion on whether the player is eligible or not. What the TAD was asked is that they assess the appeal and, subsequently, declare the player’s availability. The club is still waiting for an answer from the TAD.”
