Portuguese international Reneto Sanchez who also grabbed best young player award became youngest player to represent any nation in the final of Euro cup. The record was previously in the name of his counterpart Cristiano Ronaldo, Ronaldo played final against Greece in 2004 ending in the loosing side.

Sanchez was 18 years and 328 days while playing yesterday which was enough to break Ronaldo’s record of 19 years and 150 days. Ronaldo’s record stood for 12 years. Pietro Enastasi holds the record for the youngest scorer in the final of the tournament when Italy won against Yugoslavia in 1968.

Sanchez has already been transferred in this transfer window joining Bayern Munich last month in the big sum of 35 million pounds.
