The league leader Leicester are now five points clear from the second positioned Tottenham while Arsenal and City are 11 and 12 points respectively. Southampton boss Ronald Koeman believes those two heavy weights are already out from the title race.
Leicester defeated struggling Newcastle 1-0 after Okazaki scored only goal of the match in 25th minute. This was also first match from the newly appointed Toons manager Rafa Benitez.
Southampton boss Ronald Koeman was in the stand to watch the match between the title challenger and relegation battler. After the match he said now there are only two clubs challenging for the title.
Koeman said,” Eleven points from Arsenal, twelve from Manchester City – they are out of the title, And it will be a fight between tottenham and Leicester. And that makes, in my opinion, the difference between before the game, this result.”
