Barcelona will confront Valencia in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey. The holders overcame Athletic 3-1 in the second leg of their quarter-last tie on Wednesday, beating them 5-2 on total.
Luis Enrique’s men have been hollowed against Gary Neville’s side, who caught up a 1-1 first-leg draw against Las Palmas with a 1-0 triumph on Thursday to book their place in the last four.
In the interim, Celta Vigo, who pulled off a stun by beating Atletico Madrid in the last eight, will confront Sevilla in the other semi-last, after Unai Emery’s side thumped out amazement bundle Mirandes.
The principal legs will be played at Camp Nou and the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on February 3, preceding the arrival legs one week.
