Nepalese National team skipper Sagar Thapa was arrested along with four others for alleged Match Fixing.
With SAFF Championship just months away, Nepal are facing in deep trouble with their skipper, vice captain and goalkeeper are taken under custody by the Nepalese Police. Skipper Sagar Thapa, Vice Captain Sandip Rai, goalkeeper Ritesh Thapa, former players Bikash Singh Chhettri and player/coach Anjan KC are the ones arrested over allegations of Match Fixing.
Nepal Police also revealed that there are three players, an official and a coach involved along with these players in the incident. However, the Nepalese Police have not revealed the names of those arrested over the allegation. According to media reports in Nepal, some big names related to football might get pulled in and there might be much more wrongdoings going on in the Nepalese football scene.
