Manchester City were in the driving seat in the Premier League a week ago but two losses in a row have brought them below city rivals Manchester United.

Manuel Pellegrini believes City are still in charge of title challenge despite consecutive loss

Manchester City were cruising through in the Premier League title defense with five wins out of five with no goals conceded. But after Vincent Kompany picked up an injury, Manchester City lost 2-1 to West Ham at home and the loss followed up with injury to Joe Hart and 4-1 thumping by Tottenham Hotspur. The loss also ended City’s record breaking run of 11 winning consecutive matches in the Premier League. Kevin De Bruyne has been brilliant for the team in attacking department but the defensive unit has failed to live upto the expectation in absence of Vincent Kompany.

Even in Europe. Manchester City failed to win against their opponent in the UEFA Champions League. City went 2-1 down to Juventus at home and will be playing Borussia Monchengladbach in Germany on a few days time. City manager Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that City are capable of bouncing back from the setback and will be aiming for Champions league victory.
