Tottenham Hotspur striker Roberto Soldado set to join Villareal after White Hart Lane horror.

When Soldado signed for Spurs in the summer of 2013, few would have thought he will be leaving this soon and with such horrible records to carry along with. The Spanish striker arrived from Valencia with consistent record of over 20 goals for four consecutive seasons. But the record seemed to be elusive as he failed to get to double figures with Spurs. Soldado failed to get the goal despite getting playing time and after Three Managers and two failed seasons, the striker is finally leaving the club.

Soldado will join Villareal who have found their form back after spending a season in lower league. With heroics of Luciano Vietto and former Spurs flop Giovani Dos Santos, Villareal entered the top five of the league. Both their star forwards have left the club now as Giovani Dos Santos has signed for MLS outfit LA Galaxy while Luciano Vietto was sold to fellow La Liga club Atletico De Madrid. Soldado will have to take the burden of scoring goals like he did in his stint in the La Liga.
