Arsenal are preparing an official bid to sign Venezuelan International Saloman Rondon from Zenit St. Petersburg as Real Madrid keep hold of Benzema.

Arsenal eye transfer move for Zenit forward Rondon as Madrid deny Benzema move

Arsenal duo Olivier Giroud and Arsene Wenge

As Arsenal started their Premier League campaign with a 2-0 loss to city rivals West Ham, the need of striker up front to push Giroud was clearly visible. With young strikers Yaya Sanogo and Chuba Akpom both moving to fellow Premier League clubs on loan, Wenger desperately needs a striker to support the team in attack. Karim Benzema was said to be on the verge of move but the Spanish club have rejected the move as Benitez has Benzema in his plans.

With the French International not making move, Arsenal have set their eyes on Salomon Rondon from Zenit. The Russian Champions will not let go their top scorer just easy but with replacements on side, a big amount could persuade them to accept the deal. Wenger seemed frustrated with Giroud’s performance and has been looking for striker in the market.
