Karim Benzema to stay at Real Madrid as Benitez confirms the striker is in his plans

Real Madrid manager Rafael Benitez has spoke about the speculations surrounding transfer of French striker Karim Benzema.

Currently out injured, Real Madrid have not played Karim Benzema who is currently in Lyon undergoing treatment. As per the reports in paper, Arsenal are preparing the transfer bid for the striker but Madrid are reluctant to let go of the only senior striker they have. Benitez has used Gareth Bale, Jese and James in the striking role with Ronaldo but none have played very well so far. With lack of options and very less replacements in the transfer market, Benzema might be staying at the Spanish capital.

Jese is being used as the number nine in absence of Benzema and will continue to do so until Benietez brings back french striker to the team. Ronaldo has also picked slight knock and has stayed out of the friendlies since two weeks. Bale and James are other options being used up top.
