Brendan Rodgers and Co are desperate to bolster their attack after a poor season and Copa America looks to be likely destination to look for his targets.
Last season, Liverpool broke lots of records up front scoring over 100 goals with strikers Luis Suarez snapping up Golden Boot, but this season the story has gone the opposite way. No strikers found the double figures in goals department and their biggest signing of the summer, Mario Balotelli scored just one goal throughout the league campaign. Rickie Lamber and Fabio Borini also flopped when it came to scoring goals for the Reds last term.
Hoffenheim’s Roberto Firmino, Sevilla’s Carlos Bacca and Zenit’s Salomon Rondon are seen as ideal signings for Liverpool and it is said that the scouts are watching the in the ongoing Copa America in Chile. Firmino has already scored in one of the Brazil matches and looks to be the central figure after seeing Neymar banned for rest of the tournament. Neymar was banned after being involved in a scuffle with Colombia’s Carlos Bacca after their group match. Bacca is also banned for a match and will play if Argentina lose out to Colombia in the quarters. Venezuela’s Rondon is also an option but Zenit are reluctant to sell their top scorer after sealing Russian League last term.
