With Raphael Varane and Pepe playing in the first team well, Madrid could push the move forward.

There are also rumors about Madrid and United being involved in a swap deal. With Real Madrid interested in United goalkeeper David De Gea, the clubs could agree on a straight swap deals. In case the deal goes through, either of Iker Casillas or Jesus Navas could leave the club while Nacho Fernandez could see more of first team action.
