Everton and Southampton are said to be interested in the transfer of dutch defender  Virgil Van Dijk. With 10m valuation on the cards, the defender had rejected previous approaches declaring his affection for Celtic. But now, he has expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of competition in the Scottish League and is aiming for a new challenge.

Table toppers in the scottish league, Celtic are assured of League title with 14 points advantage with a game to go. The club has accepted the fact that Van Dijk will leave the club in case a transfer bid is made. Southampton are said to be interested in the defender as they will not have services of Toby Alderweireld for the next season. The on loan Atletico Madrid defender will return to Spain and might move elsewhere in days to come.
