“I will always have a soft spot for Nepal”: India coach Stephen Constantine.

Ahead of the match against Nepal, India’s head coach spoke about his old connection to Nepal and talked about the match.

Back in 1999, Stephen Constantine was a new name in Asian football. Nepal brought in Constantine as their head coach and he handled the team for 2 years. And after 15 years, Constantine returns to Nepal as an opponent and said that he is all India for this match.

“I will always have a soft spot for Nepal. I got my first break in this country and the two years i spent here are always special. We got two daughters in our time at Nepal and i must say Nepal will always be integral part of my life.”, said Constantine. He also said that his return to Dasarath Rangashla will be special as he still remembers donning Nepali attire and celebrating with the then Prince and prime-minister of Nepal.
