Nepal lost out by 2-0 to India in first leg of World Cup 2018 qualifiers.
Nepal lost first leg of the World Cup 2018 qualifers against India by 2-0 in a match held at Guhawati. Sunil Chhetri scored a brace to ensure India’s 2-0 lead going into the away game to be played in Nepal in few days time.
Sunil Chhetri scored both goals in second half. The first goal came in 51st minute after his shot from outside the box beat everyone including goalkeeper. The second goal came 20 minutes from time as Chhetri took advantage of defensive lapse to double india’s lead. Chhetri was on his way to get a hattrick but his penalty was saved by custodian Kiran to keep the scoreline to 2-0.
